Local versions of customer report on HP’s corporate social responsibility activities launched

For the first time, we published a report on our corporate social responsibility activities for our customers in February. This customer report – which complements the full online version – is now available as a local version for several European countries including France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Russia and the United Kingdom. The local reports include additional information on local activities and projects in these markets.

Interview

HP extends brain drain initiative to five African countries Following our involvement in UNESCO’s South East European brain drain project launched in 2003, UNESCO and HP have just selected five projects from universities on the African continent that will take part in a similar initiative to alleviate ‘brain drain’. We spoke to Arnaud Pierson, EMEA Strategic Business Programme Manager, HP University Relations, to find out more details about the programme and the selected projects.

HP announces further details of new partnership with World Wildlife Fund
Following HP’s announcement of its collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund-US (WWF-US) in November 2006, HP has just announced that it will donate $2.2 million in cash and HP equipment to the WWF.

HP 2007 Technology for Teaching Grants Announced
For the fifth consecutive year, HP is delighted to award selected universities with HP Wireless Technology for Teaching Grants. The 2007 grants will be awarded to 13 universities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Designed to promote student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics the grants are each worth around €58,000 and consist of cash and equipment.
