The competition involved an online high school-level programme, in which students were required to act as CEOs and CFOs, exercising critical economic and management decisions whilst competing in a simulated global marketplace. It was designed by JA, which specialises in teaching young people entrepreneurial skills.
Gabi Zedlmayer, vice president, Corporate Marketing and Global Citizenship HP EMEA said: “HP recognises the potential for working in partnership with organisations such as JA to encourage innovation, diversity and global collaboration among the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The competition offered the students an opportunity to experience first hand the challenges that come with operating a successful global enterprise.”
The European organisation of JA, JA-YE is Europe’s largest provider of enterprise education programmes, funded by businesses, institutions, foundations and individuals. HP EMEA’s partnership with JA-YE currently spans 25 European countries, focusing on making business education accessible to as many young people as possible.
