In this month’s issue of the Global Citizenship Bulletin we bring you news about our social investment activities in Russia and Egypt. Both countries place great importance on their national education initiatives as a key driver for their economic development. Our interview with Owen Kemp, Managing Director of HP Russia highlights how philanthropy and social investment is viewed in Russia.
At HP we are able to partner with the government departments, public service organisations and make a contribution to boosting IT and business skills and research capabilities. The government of Egypt presented HP with an award in recognition of HP’s involvement and contributions to the Egyptian Education Initiative.
In our feature article you can read more about a report on how to help small and medium businesses in a global supply chain raise their social and environmental standards. The report was published by HP and the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (DCCA) and sets out guidelines for multinational companies on how to promote sustainability among their suppliers, focusing on small and medium businesses in their global supply chains.
