Welcome to the August edition of our Global Citizenship Bulletin in EMEA

With the Olympic Games this month, this is truly the season of sporting achievements. At Hewlett-Packard, we are supporting a team dreaming of success at another global sporting event. Read our news story about HP’s sponsorship of the Cambridge University Eco Racing team. The UK-based team hopes to make a strong appearance in what can be considered the Olympics for solar car racing – the 2009 World Solar Challenge.

We also bring you news of the 2008 HP Responsible Business Award winner, Infotainment. A student company based in Austria, Infotainment has developed educational e-learning modules and games on climate change for young people. Read more about the team’s philosophy and approach which won them the award.

We have just published the customer version “Life Cycle” of this year’s Global Citizenship report that summarises information from the full report relevant for enterprise and public sector customers. The report is available in nine European languages. You can download the report here.
