Welcome to the September/October edition of our Global Citizenship Bulletin in EMEA.
In this issue we bring you an update from a number of exciting projects that took place over the summer.
Read about Hattrick, the student team from Lithuania who are the winners of our Global Business Challenge. Following a hotly contested final in Colorado Springs, Colorado, US they were awarded the first prize of $3,000.
In Novosibirsk, Russia, HP supported a summer camp for young programmers, dedicated to developing programming skills, working with students aged 10-16. This is the third year HP has supported this summer camp, as part of an ongoing relationship with the IT and science college that organises the camp.
We are also very pleased to announce the Sustainabile Innovation Award for which HP and WWF have partnered with Ashridge Business School. The Award offers a cash prize of €7,000 and a 6-month mentorship with HP to the MBA student who comes up with the most innovative business idea for a sustainable business.
This month’s interview offers you a preview of a new online portal GET-IT City, that will offer online resources to GET-IT students and trainers.
The portal also offers young people who do not have an opportunity to attend a GET-IT training course the chance to update their skills by accessing the training modules online. Watch out for the launch of the first in a series of educational games to be featured on the site in the next few weeks.
We publish the Global Citizenship Bulletin eight times a year, and we would love to know what you think about the stories we feature. Please send us your comments here. You can also leave a comment on our blog.
