HP has made a video to provide an overview of our Global Citizenship priorities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Launched at HP’s Technology @ Work event in Berlin in late April, the video is aimed at anyone who wants to find out more on our four priorities in EMEA: the environment, social investment, supply chain responsibility and privacy.
1. Environment
HP aims to reduce the impact of our products and operations as much as possible throughout the product lifecycle. This includes looking at product design, use of materials, production techniques and recycling.
2. Social investment
At HP we want to make a positive contribution to the communities we are based in. We provide financial support, technology and expertise through grants and employee volunteering. Much of our focus is on increasing access to information technology and making the benefits of technology accessible to all people as a means to learn, work and thrive.
3. Supply chain responsibility
HP is committed to ensuring high social and production standards throughout our supply chain. Through the HP Supplier Code of Conduct we aim to establish consistently high standards regarding human rights, labour and environmental and safety standards among suppliers.
4. Privacy
"HP is committed to protecting the data of customers, partners, suppliers and employees and we put the appropriate technology and policies in place to ensure the integrity of this data.
For more on privacy be sure to read the interview with Daniel Pradelles, our customer privacy data manager for HP EMEA, in this issue of the Global Citizenship bulletin."
