For the year 2005 HP’s reporting was ranked 21st by the Accountability Rating index, the first global index that evaluates how well the world's 100 largest companies account for their impact on society and the environment. HP was the highest rated company in the computer and electronics industry.

In this Global Citizenship Bulletin you can read about a competition around mobile technology and creative approaches to learning. Hosted jointly by the Federal Ministry of Education, the Regional Media Centre of Zollernalb in South West Germany and HP, results demonstrated that mobile technology can play an important part in helping school children develop core skills in creative problem solving and team-based, independent learning.
Another piece of news this month features the prize winner of the HP Responsible Business Award, Estonian company Volli and provides further insight into how HP collaborates with JA-YE (Junior Achievement-Young Enterprise) to encourage responsible and sustainable business practice among young budding entrepreneurs.
