HP and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) are collaborating to combat climate change around the globe. Together, we will leverage our proven experience in technology innovation and environmental conservation to: reduce greenhouse gas emissions improve energy use educate and inspire others use technology in conservation.

• By 2010, we will reduce our global energy use by 20 percent below the 2005 levels.
• We will report and verify carbon dioxide emissions from our facilities.
• We will develop energy efficiency measurements across all of our product categories and work to improve product environmental performance.

• We will leverage HP technology to advance the science and practice of combating climate change.

	Climate change projects

The Epicenter for Climate Conservation serves as a research and collaboration center driven by HP technology, supporting WWF’s programs, and focused on advancing climate change science worldwide. The EpiCenter will support local field projects in five locations, including the Sunderbans of India.

Climate Witness is an innovative online forum to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change. Climate Witness will gather and share the stories – in words, photos and videos – of individuals and communities impacted by climate change. Climate Witness projects will be established in the United States, Brazil, China and India.

ICT Innovation as a Driver of Climate Change Solutions will work to identify one billion tons of carbon reductions through the use of technology and services to help reduce climate impacts and carbon dioxide emissions globally. This program, based in Europe, will feature HP products and employee engagement opportunities.
