Knowledge and tools are the basis for economic development in every region of the world. HP provides resources and technology solutions to help increase job skills and foster entrepreneurial development.

In 2006, the non-profit organisation Micro-Enterprise Acceleration Institute (MEA-I)Non-HP site took over the management of the MAP program in the EMEA region. HP is still involved in the program and, as a platinum sponsor of the Institute, supports its efforts to develop new MAP training centers in EMEA.

Microenterprise Acceleration Program (MAP)

Micro-enterprises, the smallest of small businesses, are the fastest-growing businesses and the biggest source of new jobs globally. While an increasing number of low-income entrepreneurs are moving toward self-sufficiency, few are using technology effectively to accelerate their businesses.

HP’s Microenterprise Acceleration Program (MAP) provides micro-enterprises access to technology and training helping them to accelerate and sustain business growth and economic opportunity.

New grant programmes are scheduled for announcement by February 2010. Please return at that time for more information.
