HP has been working with JA-YE in 28 countries in Europe on a number of different projects since 1996. Joint projects included HP’s support for enterprise education programmes in schools and special events, as well as the participation of HP employees as volunteers.
Since 2006 the HP Responsible Business Competition has been open to students participating in the JA-YE Company of the Year program across Europe. HP and JA-YE challenge the secondary school students to consider social and environmental responsibility when developing business plans and building their student enterprises.
In 2009, the Competition was extended to Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and North America.
