In 2007, 13 universities across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) were awarded an HP Mobile Technology for Teaching Grant for equipment and cash valued at approximately US $80,000 (list price).

| Applications are by invitation only. HP invites selected universities across EMEA to submit a proposal to HP that describes the fundamental teaching and learning issues that are being addressed by the project and how the granted HP technology would contribute to resolving those issues. |

Successful universities are chosen for their creative and innovative application of mobile technology in learning environments and their plans for broader deployment of mobile technology solutions.
