HP's Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative is creating new models of success on campus for integrating mobile technology into learning environments.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, this educational program helps to improve teacher and student learning experiences, through the innovative application of mobile technologies.

In 2007, 13 universities across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) were awarded an HP Mobile Technology for Teaching Grant for equipment and cash valued at approximately  US $80,000 (list price).

Applications are by invitation only. HP invites selected universities across EMEA to submit a proposal to HP that describes the fundamental teaching and learning issues that are being addressed by the project and how the granted HP technology would contribute to resolving those issues.

Successful universities are chosen for their creative and innovative application of mobile technology in learning environments and their plans for broader deployment of mobile technology solutions.
