HP's most comprehensive digital graphic arts portfolio for printing everything from color postcards to large, outdoor banners will transform the city of Cannes for the 60th edition of its international Film Festival. As festival-goers arrive at the central railway station, they are welcomed by ultra–large-format photos printed using HP Scitex, displayed on huge 17 square metre windows separating the sidewalk from the arrivals hall. HP Scitex ultra-wide-format printers have also been used to produce the iconic banners of up to 500 sq metres that wrap around entire buildings – like the one that graces the red-carpeted entrance to the Palais des Festivals.

During the 19th – 25th of May, HP Go Mobile! teams will be roaming the famous Cannes Croisette, the heart of Festival action, as well as nearby shopping areas to provide consumers with a first-hand look into some of HP’s exciting notebook and iPAQ benefits. The Go Mobile! teams will be demonstrating the capabilities of HP’s smart phone, the iPAQ 514 Voice Messenger, its travel companion, the HP iPAQ rx5940, and one of the company’s hot new consumer notebooks, the HP Pavilion tx1000. HP always take innovation seriously whether up on the big screen, on dry land and now, in the water. We’ve sponsored Proteus, a 100 feet long twin hulled boat that has been attracting lots of interest from the Cannes quayside thanks to its long titanium legs that adjust to the surface of the water and facilitate its incredible speed. This ultra light and flexible catamaran is the first in a new generation of Wave Adaptive Modular Vessels (WAM-V™) based on patented technology that delivers a radically new seagoing experience. The HP Proteus Boat will be performing manoeuvres in the bay throughout the festival period.
